2nd bout of COVID—my daughter’s 3rd!

I recently overcame Covid (again). Quarantine with my 9-year-old daughter has given me some interesting insights into leadership. Just like leading a team through adversity, it's all about strategy, resilience, and occasionally, some creative problem-solving!
1. Communication Skills: Explaining to a 9-year-old why Bluey’s parents are hilarious can be as challenging as conveying complex business strategies. Use simple language, and expect a lot of "whys"!
2. Adaptability: Ever tried convincing a kid that broccoli is just "green ice cream"? Flexibility and adaptation are key. Similarly, teams need to pivot when faced with unexpected challenges!
3. Motivation: Bribery (read: ice cream) works wonders in both cases! Incentives can boost morale when things get tough.
4. Problem-Solving: Whether it's fixing a broken toy or addressing a project setback, creativity is key. Think outside the LEGO box!
5. Time Management: Balancing work, homework, and Netflix cartoons? It's like multitasking on steroids! Prioritization is essential for leaders and parents alike.
Remember, friends, that leading through adversity can be challenging, but it's also an opportunity for growth and laughter. And who knows, you might just discover a newfound appreciation for Bluey (I mean - it is hilarious)!
