Leadership Lessons from the Gridiron!(Also… Skol Vikings!)

I was at last Sunday’s Vikings/Bears game in Chicago with my friend Nick Esposito and he pointed out something to me. At pivotal points in the game, Bears fans were sitting on their hands, not making noise.

But think about that… Imagine you're in the stands, your team's on the field, and there's complete silence when the whole stadium should be shaking! Just like in leadership, rallying your team can sometimes feel like pulling teeth... or in this case, pulling fans off their seats.

So, here's the kicker! Leaders, your job is to be the '12th man' for your team! Whether you're in the office or the stadium, cheer them on! Wave the flag of encouragement, and when they score touchdowns, celebrate like it's the Super Bowl!

Whether you're on the field or in the boardroom, remember that a little enthusiasm goes a long way. Let's make some noise and bring home those wins – both in sports and in life! (Sidenote - as a Vikings fan, I was actually good with the silence in this instance 😁)
